Assessments
In order to receive substance use disorder treatment services, Medicaid requires that each individual meet medical necessity criteria. After a request for service is made, Partners provides a complete biopsychosocial assessment (accepted by the Department of Health) that determines whether a client has a substance use disorder. We then use the patient placement criteria to determine the level of intervention needed to address any disorder found.
